Ancient Egyptians have influenced modern day life in many ways, they invented a lot of creative and useful tools that we take for granted nowadays. Modern day life wouldn't be the same without the tools and simple inventions that the ancient Egyptians created, including the vase and the plow and even paper.
The ancient Egyptians invented many things such as spreadsheets, mining, math, origami, architecture, astronomy, temples, monuments, fairy tales. They even came up with the idea of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 4 weeks a month, 12 months a year, 365 days in a year (in other words, the calendar system).
They also created many sports like swimming, boxing archery, gymnastics, high jump, weightlifting and marathons. They created paper and writing, which is an extremely important invention that is used all of the time, every day.
Medicine and religion have a big part to play in modern day life. Obviously, we need medicine to stay well and to heal us when we are sick, and different religions have formed the population of the earth today. These 2 things are an important part of our society, and they also were invent by ancient Egyptians.
The life expectancy was lower and the mortality/infant mortality rate was very high when compared to modern times, since medicine and ways of healing have obviously improved tremendously since ancient times. Sickness and disease is not nearly as common as it was back then either.
In conclusion, the ancient Egyptians have contributed to everyday life drastically. So much so that it's impossible to ignore the impact they have made. They thought of everything from sports to games, to architecture and astronomy, to medicine, healing methods and writing.
